EV Charging Station App

EV drivers struggled to find nearby charging stations they could rely on, and often arrived to find chargers busy, out of order, or incompatible with their vehicle.

Important details such as connector type, charging speed, price per kWh and live availability were scattered or missing, which made it hard to compare stations quickly.

Charging sessions felt like a black box: drivers could not easily see battery progress, time remaining, or the cost building up while they waited.

Payments were fragmented across different operators, cards and apps, which added friction at the charger and made spending hard to track.

Designed a map-first station finder with clear availability pins, distance, and price, so drivers can spot the nearest free and compatible charger in seconds.

Built smart filters for connector type (CCS, Type 2, CHAdeMO), charging speed (AC or DC fast charging), price, and amenities, plus detailed station pages with photos, ratings, and live charger status.

Introduced slot booking and turn-by-turn navigation handoff, so drivers can reserve a charger before they arrive and avoid waiting in a queue.

Created a live charging session screen with a battery progress ring, kWh delivered, estimated time to full, and running cost, with notifications when charging is complete.

Simplified payments with a built-in wallet, saved cards, and itemized receipts, along with a charging history view that tracks energy used, money spent, and CO₂ saved over time.
